[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA3J7zzpdj0[/embed] As we’re all aware AI has been a hot topic of 2023. Earlier this month I was invited to chat to Nuie Bathrooms (https://www.nuiebathrooms.com) about how AI may be used in interior design. We discussed what I love, what improvements could be made and what other design tools are currently available to consumers. Like all new technology there are pros and cons to using AI, I certainly look forward to seeing what improvements will be made in 2024. Obviously I’m biased, but my biggest takeaway, having spent time...

If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that we've spent the last three months working on our garden makeover.  I thought it was time to write the first of my Garden Makeover posts.  In this one I share the landscaping work we undertook, planting and some of the key pieces we introduced to the space to create various zones within the garden. Key Features of the design scheme Creating a walled courtyard garden with both patio and loose gravel areas. Using sustainable and natural materials where possible, including vintage pieces and...

I don't know about you but I'm counting down to 29th March, when all being well we will be able to socialise in gardens.  The foray into socialising when we've been unable to see family and friends for almost a year is taking up so much head space right now.  I've been pinning ideas for al fresco dining (I'm thinking pizzas, burgers, jacket potatoes, chilli, anything really that can be prepped and served in the garden to warm guests if we're not blessed with a sunny April.  One pot dishes...

Welcome, here I continue to share the renovation of our barn conversion.  We completed the conversion of our new home back in September 2019.  We were then struck by the global pandemic in March of 2021 with lockdown I had time to consider what other changes we may be able to make to improve the effeciency of our home and use the available space to it's best advantage.  Queue garage to utility room conversion, whilst I challenged myself to make as many eco friendly choices as possible throughout this project,...

Welcome, here I continue to share the renovation of our barn conversion.  I'd intended to start blogging about our renovation sooner but things have been so busy here I'm playing catch up, I hope you enjoy what I share of our renovation journey and find some inspiration along the way. 2 years ago we moved into our barn conversion mews, which was previously owned by an elderly lady, we had our hands full, pastel carpets, floral window dressings, dark beams, ancient radiators and poor lighting being some of the obstacles.  Having...

Welcome and Happy New Year, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas.  This is my first blog of 2020 and I'm here to talk about creating a super cosy bedroom for the winter months.  We've been pretty lucky where I am in Lincolnshire so far on the weather front, but if last February is anything to go by the worst is yet to come. In my last post, which you can read here I shared our master bedroom renovation, having a beautiful bedroom to enjoy during the lazy mornings which go...

Following my experience competing on this year’s BBC2 amateur interior designer series, The Great Interior Design Challenge, I was approached to design a new interior scheme for local boutique salon Hair by Kirby Blythe, based in Messingham. The owner’s brief was to create a fresh and feminine scheme to increase light and introduce a spa feel where customers would feel welcomed and relaxed.  Light grey, rose gold and white tones were used throughout to complement the existing flooring and vintage chesterfield sofas.  Rose gold chandeliers above each station and a huge...
